Saturday May 20, 2017 PCGC held the second match of the High Power Rifle Season. There were 13 competitors 6 Of our Juniors and 7 adults. The weather was bright, hot and ended with partly cloudy. The temperatures were in the 90s.
Of the Junior competitors we had two first timers, this was their first formal match. Sarah and Harley, Harley is the newest addition to the Junior Team. All competitors for the most part shot scores exceeding their classifications and are to be commended for their efforts.

PCGC got back to conducting XTC High Power Rifle matches in the traditional manner on August 12, 2017. We really regret that we could not hold the match in June but no one wants to sit and stand in mud. With herculean effort by a number of members and a whole bunch of effort, we laid approximately 1000 pieces of sod on the new elevated firing points. The match Saturday was the first time we used the "down range" firing point. It was relatively smooth without dips and holes.
The match date Saturday was set back a week due to a scheduling snafu, hopefully no one will be disappointed next Saturday if they show up and are greeted by the 4-H Competitors.
It turned out to be a sunny 87-91 degree day with humidity at 100%. Muggy to say the least. We had 12 people attend mostly PCGC people except for Steven (Bear) Lewis and Tom McManus. The people that shoot with are top notch, the fellowship and camaraderie is excellent. After the match the firing line converged on El Chili Rojo for lunch.
Below are the results from the match.
